The August Adventure League Event hosted by MonsoonSIM brought forward several remarkable clubs and MonsoonSIM players to battle it out for the position of Grand Winner. Held on the 14th and 28th of August, the participating clubs of the August Adventure League represented esteemed universities and educational institutions, among them BPK Penabur, Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Galuh Ciamis, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
Mr. Abdy Taminsyah, founder and CEO of MonsoonSIM, once said, “At the very heart of what MonsoonSIM is all about is to make learning enjoyable for students, to bring fun and excitement into education.”
From what we’ve witnessed, MonsoonSIM has certainly brought that aspiration into action with the league events, like this August Adventure League. A recent interview with the grand winner of August Adventure, a club by the name of BUMBLEBEE from Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia, has certainly proven that.
The 5 team members of BUMBLEBEE club—Riza, Maya, Mira, Nafsya and Ira—had displayed commendable entrepreneurship and coordination in managing their virtual company in this league arena. With their mentor’s guidance, Mr. Muhammad Akbar, the BUMBLEBEE club had risen through the ranks as the top business “adventurer” in this August Adventure League.
“The key in playing is good communication and mutual trust in the ability of your team members.” BUMBLEBEE club advises when asked about a valuable lesson or tip that they would like to impart to their fellow MonsoonSIM enthusiasts and players.
The August Adventure League Event also had a tie-breaker the following week after the 2 games to determine the 2nd and 3rd place winners, which was then determined to be Mega Army Club from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (under the mentorship of Mr. Ilham Maulana Saud) and Maskulin2021 Club from Universitas Galuh Ciamis (under the mentorship of Mr. Mukhtar AK) respectively.
These MonsoonSIM league events date back to October 2019, when the first ever league event took place. During that time, the league, named Liga HIMASI, was facilitated by Universitas Budi Luhur, and MonsoonSIM players were very much eager to showcase their acquired skills from the business simulation and gamification education platform in public and compete with fellow players and clubs that share the same interest and passion for MonsoonSIM.
Now, with over 91 leagues and 1,881 club games conducted throughout the MonsoonSIM network, large-scale competitions between keen, enthusiastic players are a staple within the MonsoonSIM family culture and a routine one does to measure one’s performance and observe one’s progress. With over 1,078 clubs so far, the opportunities to gather together and play in leagues are endless. With every league and club game joined, MonsoonSIM players and clubs can reach higher PELO and ELO ratings, respectively. With the top-rated clubs to date including ARSANTA WIDYADHARMA of Universitas Islam Indonesia (ELO: 1776), Shark of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (ELO: 1697) and BioHaZarD of Singapore University of Social Sciences (ELO: 1635), MonsoonSIM is unequivocally a global platform that enables players worldwide to both interact and learn from one another through enriching experiences and invaluable exposure, in a way where there’s more to learn, easier to learn.
