Why Dual Teaching Mode is important
MonsoonSIM platform supports teaching via Gamification as well as Simulation. This is one of the key differentiators of MonsoonSIM. While gamification is excellent in inspiring students to learn and explore, simulation is excellent for teaching specific situations, For example, to get the students to understand the concepts of logistics, it is best to start with a logistics game. When the students have questions about a specific concept such as auto-replenishment, the teacher can switch to simulation mode and run an auto-replenishment simulation to clarify the concept. In MonsoonSIM, a teacher can switch between gamification and simulation, in real-time.
Why Virtual Teaching Assistant is important
A typical MonsoonSIM class can take up to 2 to 100 students concurrently. A MonsoonSIM class can 100% be conducted remotely (via Zoom, Meet, or Team), even after the pandemic. Having an AI-based teaching assistant can significantly improve the learning experience of the students. Students will get real-time help from the AI Teaching Assistant -- MonsoonSIM Boz -- that pops up on the students' screens to help explain concepts, show navigation guides, and give encouragement and advice. The Boz is designed to help each learner based progress in their learning pace, check real-time results, and understand real-time business challenges. In addition to assisting the learners, the Boz also provides a real-time report back to the facilitator on the status of the students. For example, the Boz will be able to report back to the facilitator that one of the teams is having trouble with their cash management.
Why having Robots as learners are important
MonsoonSIM Robots are virtual learners that behave like a typical learners. They are designed to compete with learners to meet the business targets or KPIs assigned by the facilitator. They can make a complex business decisions, in real-time, based on ongoing, ever-changing, business dynamics. Sometimes, they are conservative, other times, they can be aggressive. The robots can be assigned to play with learners as teammates - or - to be competitive teams. They can also play stand-alone as well as in groups, along with other humans. Having robots can significantly improve the students learning experience because students can learn from the robots' business decisions and take inspiration. Facilitators can also deploy robots in simulation teaching (see dual-mode teaching above).
MonsoonSIM unique horizontal experiential learning caters to all levels
MonsoonSIM design is based on horizontal experiential learning. Learners from all levels can learn. The knowledge is discovered as they play the game. The more the learners explore, the more knowledge they will acquire. To a middle school student, the first few games of MonsoonSIM will expose them to fundamental concepts such as profitability, cash flow, etc. To undergraduate business school students, they can spend more time investigating their game results. The more time they spend analyzing the cause and effects of the games, the more they will discover. The facilitator plays a key role in "releasing the knowledge" through the game configuration. The complexity is slowly increased as the learning capacity of the student increases. The facilitator can also tune the lessons through game frequency, game speed, and dynamic quizzes.
Business is dynamics. Learners' learning capacity varies from one to another. When teaching business concepts using MonsoonSIM, facilitators are able to tailor the teaching materials, in this case, the business gaming scenario, to suit the learning ability of the students. By changing the configuration as the game progresses, the facilitators can give learners a constantly evolving business environment that grows in complexity as the learners learning capacities improves. Learners will always find the learning journey exciting, rewarding, and fulfilling. In MonsoonSIM, it can be configured in run-time, as the game progresses. For example. When the facilitators learns that the students have understood the basic concept of retail business and are ready to take on new challenges, he can then open a Loan. Students will now be able to expand their business through new bank loans.

The facilitator can look at the absolute as well as the relative strengths of learners with respect to their attained knowledge in comparison to their peers. Facilitators can select from hundreds of KPIs to form an assessment matrix (called a scoring matrix). The scoring matrix is designed to put emphasis on certain business aspects. For example, one is to assess students' knowledge on supply chain management while another is set up to assess students' understanding of cash management. MonsoonSIM facilitators can also observe real-time KPIs while learners are playing. The learning outcomes can also be saved for future references. The assessments can be based on team or per learner.

The only thing the facilitators and learners need is a standard browser. The system is available 7x24x365. The pace of a MonsoonSIM learning session (game) can also be changed in real-time. The session results can be saved for resumption in future learning sessions. There is also a built-in chat system that facilitates easy communication among learners as well as learner to facilitator communication.
Why Live Data Access is important
Big data and data analytics are the pillars of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Most business courses are now gearing towards helping students to become data scientists. In MonsoonSIM, the path to becoming data scientists is clear, easy, and obvious. In a MonsoonSIM game, students need to make a critical decision to produce business transactions. that include market forecast, currency fluctuations, interest rates are all of which live-accessible. Students are able to use 3rd party data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, R, Cognos, Excel to tap into the MonsoonSIM data, in real-time, to design their corporate dashboards, reports or simply to find out outliers. Students are also able to use data analytics to help them make decisions, which in turn, can trigger their business transactions.
